Terms & conditions

Booking with Saga Lux

Day journeys

Booking. Book at least 24 hours before departure.

Cancellation. Cancel up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are charged the full price.

Payment. Pay securely online with Mastercard, Visa or American Express, with no card fees. For other payment options, contact us.

Multi-day and self-drive journeys

Deposit. A 50% deposit confirms your journey once you have approved your proposal.

Balance and cancellation. The due date for the balance and the cancellation terms are set out in your proposal before you pay anything.

On the day

Pick-up. From Keflavík Airport or your Reykjavík hotel. Please be ready in front of your location at the agreed time.

Return times. Based on normal road and weather conditions. Weather and road conditions can cause delays, and the route may be adjusted for safety.

Clothing. Icelandic weather changes quickly. Wear good shoes and outdoor clothing suited to the season.

Language. Journeys are guided in English.

Included and excluded

Admission to sites, museums and exhibitions is included unless the journey description says otherwise. Meals and refreshments are not included unless stated.

Our story

Twelve years on Iceland’s roads.

Saga Lux was founded by Bjarni Lúðvíksson, who grew up on the Reykjanes peninsula and has guided guests across Iceland for twelve years.

Over those years, more and more guests asked for something private: their own vehicle, their own pace, and one team to plan the whole trip. Today our travel planners and professional driver-guides look after couples, families, friends and corporate groups, from a single day to two weeks around the island.

We work with Iceland’s best hotels, helicopter and boat operators, chefs and guides, so whatever you have in mind, one message to us is enough.
